Accessibility

Coffee Right YOW is an event designed for everyone.

• Parking: available throughout the neighbourhood with a few accessible spots available at the venue itself.
• Washrooms: are provided, including one fully accessible washroom. An accessibility guide will be stationed near the washroom, as there is no automatic door.
• Accessibility Guides: Will be positioned at the Merch/Info Tent, in the park near the accessible washroom, and throughout the venue. They will have bright vests that read Accessibility Guides on the back.
• Curb cuts on all sides of the road for mobility devices are available. Spacing throughout venue ensured so that mobility devices can navigate the park.
• Friendly dogs on leash are welcome to the venue and the park.
• Water fountain/refill station provided by Parkdale Market
• Space navigation: Ahead of the event, our social media team will share a video tour of the space to aid with navigation and point out any potential issues.
• Lighting and Sound: The event at the stage will have no strobing lights, just a PA system with mostly and MC talking and some soft music. There is one area of the festival with some generators that could add some extra noise but the majority of electric appliances used on site for power are electric so quiet and no odors.

We are working away on a comprehensive accessibility plan with input from the team over at The Artery Community Roasters. Check back in June for the full plan and if you have any questions before then pertaining to accessibility, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
